Fit Teenage Boys Are Smarter but Muscle Strength Isn't the Secret

In the first study to demonstrate a clear positive association between adolescent fitness and adult cognitive performance, Nancy Pedersen of the University of Southern California and colleagues in Sweden find that better cardiovascular health among teenage boys correlates to higher scores on a range of intelligence tests -- and more education and income later in life.

Wii Bit of Help For Fitness

A University of Wisconsin-La Crosse study found that the Nintendo video game system doesn’t do much to burn calories — perhaps just a wee bit.  Since its launch in 2007, Wii Fit has sold more than 21 million units and is now the third best-selling video game of all time.

Dressing like a professional makes you think and act like a professional. This in turn creates a positive perception in the eyes of the client and commands respect. Wear a uniform. Professionals in all fields wear uniforms. This could be color coordinated sweats, coaches shorts, quality tank tops, polo shirt with company logo, and clean exercise shoes. Avoid hats, boots, wild colors, string tanks, baggy pants, and old t-shirts.

Training for Daily Living

Functional training means training your body to better perform the type of movements you use for everyday living. A functional program targets specific movements, then mimics those movements during exercise. A good program focuses on weak areas and sets specific goals. Examples would be having a tennis player lunge to a chop or a young mother squat to a twist.
